Michigan Stages Update – Major Film Studios Announced in Detroit and Pontiac

Much awaited Michigan stage and studio facilities have been announced as approved for funding & Michigan film tax incentives which will bring more Michigan films and more jobs. ┬áRaleigh Michigan Studios, (formerly called Motown Motion Picture Studios) in Pontiac & Detroit Center Studios in Downtown Detroit were announced in the Governor’s State of the State speech. Both Michigan and Detroit stages and studios will enable around the year production and are a major infrastructure support development for the Michigan Film industry enabling additional Michigan film production opportunities. With 71 films approved since last April for film incentive this year will be a landmark year in Michigan film production. From script to screen MFP is your source to film Michigan.
